Yes these themes can be installed on any gnome based distro but, SADLY it still will probably generate more buzz/hits with Ubuntu in the title…just the way it is; and for the guy that says “real men use Mandriva…”, that is the funniest statement read and thanks for the laugh. It is a nice distro but, come on.

To the author, nice collection although for new users trying to follow this post will probably run into dependency problems emerald, gloabal-menu and others if they do not use common sense and read the pages you link to. That is why using Ubuntu in the title can be dangerous, it is being used by new users/converts and they are use to everything being included in one download (usually an executable or similar). It’s kind of a double-edge sword, it is all about your target audience.

You can find installation instructions in the respective download pages… The tutorial i provided works for me fine.. i tested them in my PC and then only i wrote that instructions..

If you have probs still… search Google for Installation Instructions of Gnome themes. Google is always a good friend to take you to the correct place.
